Ghost in The Rocks 2026: Sydney Announces Four Nights of Halloween Festivities

The Rocks and Circular Quay will transform into a Halloween destination from 29 October to 1 November, featuring outdoor horror movies, themed food, cocktail experiences, DJ performances and family entertainment.

SYDNEY: Sydney is preparing for four nights of Halloween celebrations as Ghost in The Rocks 2026, billed by its organisers as Australia’s Biggest Halloween Street Festival, returns from Thursday, 29 October, to Sunday, 1 November.

With free entry to the wider festival, visitors can choose from a range of experiences, from outdoor horror screenings and themed street food to live music, Halloween markets and interactive cocktail trails.

Organised around the theme Find Your Ghost, the festival invites visitors to create their own Halloween experience across Circular Quay and The Rocks.

Horror Movies Under the Stars

The Audible Ghost Cinema will take over Cadmans Cottage for four nights, offering outdoor screenings in one of Sydney’s historic locations.

The horror programme includes popular titles such as The Shining, Get Out, The Conjuring, Smile, IT, Annabelle: Creation and Scream 7.

Families can also enjoy a selection of daytime Halloween films, including Coco, Hocus Pocus, Corpse Bride and Monsters, Inc.

Haunted Woods, Spooky Food and DJ Performances

First Fleet Park will become a Halloween-themed street food destination, with a menu featuring Frankenstein-inspired seafood rolls, black-bun hotdogs, pumpkin and black-truffle gnocchi, black crêpes and fried ice cream.

At the Poliakov Vodka Haunted Woods, visitors can discover a laboratory-inspired bar serving themed drinks in blood bags and syringes.

As evening falls, the Poliakov Vodka Main Stage will host a free electro DJ programme across all four nights. Performers include Pretty Dragon, Elle Cooper, Suzie Star Bow, DJ Lara Luv, André Müller and DJ Nick Reverse.

Interactive Cocktail Trails and a Haunted Hotel Bar

For adults seeking a more immersive Halloween experience, CASA Trick or Drink will offer a themed trail through four venues in The Rocks: Apocalypse Bar, Abandoned Asylum Bar, Slaughter Bar and Ouija Bar. Participants can follow the route and take on playful challenges along the way.

The experience is adults-only and ticketed.

Another attraction, the CASA Murder Bar, will be located in Foundation Park. Designed to resemble an abandoned old-school hotel bar, it will feature live performances by Lucy Burke, Moonlight Trio, Leah Berry, Coucou Zazou and Bruno Saxo.

Guests can also discover theatrical cocktails, including a Bloody Margarita and a neon-green Goblin Margarita.

Halloween Market and Family Entertainment

The Halloween Market will bring together themed stalls, treats, costumes, accessories and seasonal products.

Families can enjoy free live entertainment, roaming characters and daytime Halloween activities, making the festival suitable for visitors looking for a lighter side of the celebrations before the precinct takes on its evening atmosphere.

Visitors are encouraged to dress up, explore the market and enjoy the festival’s mix of entertainment and Halloween-themed experiences.
