An Australian Air Force C-17A aircraft will depart for Nepal in the coming days carrying emergency supplies and equipment, along with personnel to support communities affected by the floods.

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese said Australia was standing with Nepal during the crisis and confirmed that assistance was already on its way.

“Australian help is on its way to Nepal.”

“In the coming days, an Australian Air Force C-17A will depart carrying humanitarian supplies, equipment and personnel to support communities devastated by the floods,” Albanese said.

The deployment comes as rescue and recovery efforts continue in flood-affected areas, with communities facing the consequences of severe flooding and widespread disruption.
