From the rich spices of South India to the vibrant rhythms of Brazil, Hornsby Shire is set to become a global cultural hub when Taste of Harmony returns this September.
The free community festival, hosted by Hornsby Shire Council, invites visitors to experience a day of international cuisine, colourful cultural performances, interactive workshops and family entertainment, all in one location.
Food lovers can indulge in authentic dishes from South India, the Middle East, Germany, Malaysia, Southern America, Northern China, Korea and Taiwan, while the stage comes alive with music and dance celebrating the traditions of India, Iran, South America, Africa, Brazil, Korea, China and many other cultures.
Children and families can enjoy free cultural workshops, face painting and a range of fun activities throughout the day.
Hornsby Shire Mayor Warren Waddell said the festival is about celebrating the people and cultures that make the community unique.
“Taste of Harmony is a chance to celebrate the traditions, stories, music and flavours that help shape our community, while bringing people together in a fun and welcoming environment,” Mayor Waddell said.
The festival reflects Hornsby Shire Council’s commitment to building an inclusive, connected and culturally vibrant community.
Taste of Harmony will be held on Saturday, 19 September, from 11am to 8pm at Hornsby Park Gardens, outside the Hornsby Aquatic and Leisure Centre. Entry is free, with funding provided by the NSW Government.
