Riverstone Festival celebrates the very best of the community

The annual Riverstone Festival has once again brought the community together to celebrate the people, culture, and local spirit that make Riverstone one of the fastest-growing communities in North Western Sydney.

Member for Riverstone Warren Kirby was joined by NSW Premier Chris Minns, Australian Attorney-General and Federal Member for Greenway Michelle Rowland, and Blacktown City Council Mayor Brad Bunting at this year’s festival, which showcased local businesses, community organisations, performances, exhibits, and family activities.

The visit marked Premier Chris Minns’ second visit to the Riverstone Festival since becoming Premier.

The festival provided an opportunity for local families, businesses, and community organisations to come together and celebrate the strength and diversity of the Riverstone community.

The Minns Labor Government is continuing to deliver major infrastructure across the North West to support the region’s rapidly growing population, including new schools, major road upgrades, the finalisation of the Riverstone Town Centre Masterplan, and the construction of Rouse Hill Hospital, which is currently underway.

Community members also had the opportunity to meet with elected representatives, explore local exhibits, and participate in a wide range of family-friendly activities throughout the day.

Member for Riverstone Warren Kirby said:

“The Riverstone Festival is a fantastic celebration of everything that makes our community special.

“It was wonderful to see so many local families, community groups, and businesses come together to showcase all that Riverstone has to offer.

“After three years of planning and advocacy, we are now firmly in delivery mode for the major infrastructure investments our growing community needs.

“For too long, communities like Riverstone have carried the pressure of growth without the infrastructure keeping pace.

“We are now delivering new schools, major road upgrades, and the long-awaited Rouse Hill Hospital to support local families now and into the future.

“It was also great to meet local people, visit the exhibits, and speak with residents throughout the day.

“The Riverstone Festival is a proud celebration of community spirit and a reminder of everything that makes Riverstone such a great place to live.”

Premier of New South Wales Chris Minns said:

“Riverstone is such a wonderful community; it’s a reflection of everything that is great about Sydney.

“It was great to return to the Riverstone Festival and spend time speaking directly with local residents and community organisations.

“The Riverstone Festival is a wonderful event, and I want to thank the volunteer groups from the local community who make it possible.”

Australian Attorney-General and Federal Member for Greenway Michelle Rowland said:

“It was fantastic to see so many people out enjoying the festival and celebrating our local community.

“The investments being delivered across North West Sydney will help ensure families have access to the roads, schools, hospitals, and services they deserve.

“The Albanese and Minns Labor Governments are working together to make North West Sydney the best place to live, work, and raise a family.”

The Mayor of Blacktown City, Brad Bunting, said:

“Riverstone Festival is a great day for a proud and vibrant part of Blacktown City.

“It brings together the people who make Riverstone what it is — families, local businesses, schools, community groups, and volunteers.

“Riverstone is at the heart of one of the fastest-growing areas in New South Wales, and events like this help keep local identity, connection, and community pride at the centre of that growth.

“Council is proud to support the Riverstone Festival and everyone who works so hard to make it such a successful day each year. This is part of building strong, connected communities across Blacktown City.”
