For just six weeks, celebrated chef Peter Kuruvita returns with an exclusive pop-up at Crown Melbourne, bringing with him a deeply personal, seven-course degustation that is as much about storytelling as it is about flavour.

Hosted within the elegant surrounds of Evergreen at Crown Towers, Serendip at Evergreen is not your typical fine-dining experience. It’s intimate, immersive, and quietly transportive—an invitation to step into Kuruvita’s world, where Sri Lankan heritage, coastal memories, and contemporary technique come together in perfect harmony.

This is a menu that unfolds like a story—layered, expressive, and rich with meaning. It begins delicately, with a crisp topped with curd and caviar, before moving into charred sourdough brushed with coconut sambal butter, setting the tone with warmth and depth.

From there, the experience builds. Butter-poached crab arrives alongside roasted coconut pumpkin and brown-butter pepitas, offering a balance of sweetness and nuttiness. A course of local wild venison introduces an earthy contrast, lifted by taro, curry, and pickled shallot.

Then comes a signature moment: a coastal snapper curry infused with tamarind, paired with a crayfish croquette—an elegant nod to one of Kuruvita’s most beloved dishes. The finale softens into sweetness, with traditional love cake and a calming tea service featuring Dilmah Tea, leaving a lasting impression that lingers long after the last sip.
