–  Gautham Vasudev Menon makes his Malayalam directorial debut with a gripping mystery-comedy-thriller –

Global, 12th December: ZEE5 Global, the world’s leading streaming platform for South Asian content, announced today that the much-anticipated Malayalam mystery-comedy-thriller film ‘Dominic and the Ladies’ Purse’ will premiere from 19th December 2025. Directed by acclaimed filmmaker Gautham Vasudev Menon in his Malayalam debut, the film is produced by Mammootty Kampany and features Mammootty in a distinctive and intriguing role.

Dominic and the Ladies’ Purse follow the story of Dominic (Mammootty), a seasoned former police officer who has now stepped into the shoes of a private detective. What appears to be a routine assignment, tracing the owner of a misplaced ladies’ purse, soon evolves into something far more sinister, pushing Dominic and his loyal aide Vignesh (Gokul Suresh) into a labyrinth of secrets, identities, and unexpected revelations.

With its engaging blend of humour, suspense, and emotional layers, the narrative promises audiences a unique take on the detective genre, set against a modern Malayalam cinema backdrop. The film features a talented ensemble cast including Gokul Suresh, Sushmitha Bhat, Viji Venkatesh, Siddique, Vineeth, and Vijay Babu, each adding depth and intrigue to the unfolding investigation.
