The Minnal Racing Team (MRT), one of Sydney’s renowned boating clubs, hosted its annual family Christmas gathering, MRT Jingle Waves 2025, on Saturday, 29 November, at Werrington. The event brought together MRT families for an evening filled with festive spirit, cultural performances, and community bonding.

The program opened under the poised guidance of MCs Naveen and Jomse, followed by a warm welcome address from Aswini, setting an engaging tone for the celebration. A symbolic highlight of the evening was the collective Christmas cake-cutting ceremony, underscoring the unity and camaraderie shared within the MRT community.

Children stole the spotlight with their Christmas reenactment, Paddle to Bethlehem, a charming performance that resonated with each and everyone. Special recognition was given to Pinku for directing the play and to Dipu for crafting the beautifully detailed Christmas crib.

One of the standout moments of the night featured Tony Joseph, who took the stage as Santa Claus. His energetic and entertaining performance delighted all ages and became an instant favourite among attendees.

The evening continued with Tinsel & Thunder, a high-energy dance performance by Jerry, Jibin, Tony, Praveen, and Dilson, which transformed the venue into a concert-like atmosphere. The impact of the performance was heightened by Rinto’s expert echo-sound engineering, who also managed the DJ segment.

Traditional Christmas carols, a festive gift exchange, and a series of family photo sessions added to the warmth and joy that filled the evening. The celebration strongly reflected MRT’s spirit of unity, friendship, and shared values.

The program concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks delivered by Angelina Cijo, who expressed deep appreciation to all participating families, performers, volunteers, and supporters.

With ongoing accomplishments in Sydney’s boating circuit, the Minnal Racing Team continues to demonstrate excellence—both on the water and within the community—through events like MRT Jingle Waves 2025.
