Australia’s First Ever Kho Kho National Championship to Make History

Liverpool, NSW, Australia – Kho Kho Australia will make history with the country’s first-ever National Kho Kho Championship, taking place on 6–7 December 2025 at Marsden Road Public School, home to Australia’s first dedicated Kho Kho facility. The event marks a major milestone in the rapid growth of Kho Kho, a fast-paced and strategic Indian origin team sport, across Australia.
Since its establishment in October 2024, Kho Kho Australia has achieved major milestones:
 Representing Australia at the first-ever Kho Kho World Cup in January 2025
 Establishing Australia’s first dedicated Kho Kho ground in Liverpool in May 2025
 Hosting the first National Championship in December 2025
“This championship marks a historic milestone for Kho Kho in Australia,” said Raj Sura, President, Kho Kho Australia. “From our first steps as an organization to competing internationally and now hosting this national event, the sport’s growth has been extraordinary.”
Lee Moskwa, Vice President, Kho Kho Australia, added: “We are thrilled to bring together the best men’s and women’s teams from across the country. This championship showcases the spirit, teamwork, and dedication that make Kho Kho so exciting, and inspires a new generation of athletes.”
The championship features four men’s teams and four women’s teams consisting of players from NSW, ACT, VIC, and SA, competing for national glory while demonstrating skills and teamwork. You are invited to enjoy high-energy matches, strategic plays, and thrilling moments in one of the world’s oldest and most exciting team sports.
