Indian Flavours Shine at the 2025 Australian Grand Dairy Awards

  • The Australian Grand Dairy Awards are the nation’s most prestigious accolade for dairy producers.
  • For products to be eligible for an award, entries must be produced in Australia with 100% Australian milk and have been awarded gold at a state qualifying competition.
  • Each product was judged by a panel of Australian and international experts, assessing each product’s flavour, aroma, texture, body and appearance through a rigorous blind tasting process
Indian flavours shone in the finalist products for the Awards as well, with Sharma’s Kitchen, Kesar and Elaichi Shrikhand and Picnic’s Foods (Sahara Fresh), Sahara Mango Lass making it into the final round of judging among 471 entries.
If this story is of interest, we’d love to offer an interview with Tanisha Sharma from Sharma’s Kitchen to speak about what this win means for her family.
This win is more than just an accolade; it’s a testament to how Indian flavours and traditions are embraced as part of Australia’s rich, multicultural fabric. Sharma’s Kitchen has brought authentic Indian dairy products, like paneer and traditional ghee, into Australian homes, blending heritage with local quality standards.
