The City of Parramatta is excited to welcome India’s global superstar Diljit Dosanjh to the city after the announcement of his upcoming concert at CommBank Stadium this October.
After shattering records worldwide, Diljit will return to Sydney on a scale never seen before with one massive show at CommBank Stadium on Sunday 26 October.
Diljit will make history as the first-ever Indian artist to headline a Sydney stadium concert with his trailblazing new tour AURA 2025 set to bring fans from all over to Parramatta.
City of Parramatta Lord Mayor Martin Zaiter said this is a significant new major event for Parramatta.
“City of Parramatta has worked hard to bring this global megastar to our city. Parramatta’s status as a true global City and the home of festivals, sports and entertainment makes us the best place for Diljit’s only Sydney performance,” Cr Zaiter said.
“The performance at Commbank Stadium by Diljit puts us on the international stage and adds to one of the biggest weekends the City has ever seen, with hundreds of thousands of people already here for our biggest street festival, Parramatta Lanes.”
“This is a real win for our community and we’re proud to partner with Venues NSW to make this happen, showcasing Parramatta’s 24-hour economy and growing our billion-dollar economy.”
The AURA 2025 isn’t just a concert – it’s a full-throttle, once-in-a-lifetime experience which Sydney audiences will be amongst the first in the world to witness.
Diljit brings an unmistakable energy that has electrified audiences from Coachella, Europe, Bollywood to Billboard.
With hits like “G.O.A.T” (236M views), “Lover” (123M), and “Proper Patola” (364M), Diljit’s live stadium concert will be an unmissable event.
NSW Minister for Sport Steve Kamper said the concert is the perfect way to celebrate Diwali.
“We’re excited to have secured Diljit Dosanjh for his first ever stadium show in Sydney at CommBank Stadium this October,” Mr Kamper said.
“The concert will be a wonderful addition to the Diwali celebrations and Australia hosting India in the cricket at the SCG.
“Diljit is just one of the many international artists set to perform in Sydney stadiums this summer, with Oasis, Metallica, Lady Gaga, AC/DC, Kendrick Lamar, Dom Dolla, and Ed Sheeran all to take the stage in the coming months.”
NSW Member for Parramatta Donna Davis said welcoming Diljit shows the deep ties between Australia and India.
“Hosting Diljit in Parramatta will ignite our city during the Festival of Lights,” Ms Davis said.
“This is more than just a concert – it’s a celebration of culture, community, and the deep ties between Australia and India. We’re proud to see the stadium shine as a global stage for music, sport and multicultural connection.
“Parramatta is in a prime position to be centre stage of tourism in Western Sydney and hosting artists like Diljit is what we do best – whether it be at CommBank Stadium, Sydney Olympic Park or our future Powerhouse Parramatta.”
