Operation Sindoor LIVE Updates: India foils Pak’s bid to target military stations in Jammu, Pathankot & Udhampur

Operation Sindoor News: Indian Air Defence Thwarts Missile Attack on Jammu and Strategic Airport Zone

In a major security operation, Indian air defence units successfully intercepted at least eight missiles launched by Pakistan targeting border regions in Jammu, including the strategically vital Jammu Airport located in Satwari, according to defence sources.

Speaking to PTI, officials confirmed that all incoming missiles aimed at the Jammu region were effectively intercepted and neutralised. The tactics used bore resemblance to those employed by Palestinian militant group Hamas. The missile targets included key locations such as Satwari (Jammu Airport), Samba, RS Pura, and Arnia.

Defence intelligence further indicated that the nature of Pakistan’s military maneuvers mirrored those of terrorist organisations. This assessment is linked to recent intelligence on a meeting between Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) and Hamas operatives within Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir.

Security forces also detected unusual drone activity along India’s western front. Two loud explosions—believed to be results of drone interceptions—plunged parts of Jammu city into darkness. Sirens were activated across the city, urging residents to take shelter.

The intercepted drones were believed to be targeting the highly sensitive Jammu airport area, which houses installations of the Indian Army, Air Force, and paramilitary units. Officials confirmed that air defence systems responded swiftly, neutralising several hostile drones. Eyewitnesses reported one drone crashing near the airport perimeter.

Residents observed the dramatic night-time scene from their rooftops and balconies, witnessing aerial flares and interceptor activity illuminating the sky.
