Italy to play Ireland for friendly in May

14Rome, March 21 (IANS) Italy will take on Ireland in a soccer friendly match in London May 31.

The friendly will be played at Fulham’s Craven Cottage, and after that the team will return to Italy for its final warmup against Luxembourg four days later, reported Xinhua.

Italy drew 2-2 with Nigeria at Craven Cottage in November.

Italy’s first World Cup match is against England June 14. It also plays Costa Rica and Uruguay in Group D.
