Birth Order and its effects on our personality

By Sidhharrth S Kumaar

Regardless of the fact that it is only a matter of fate and time, psychologists believe that our birth-order position—firstborn, middle, last, or only—has obvious, long-lasting effects on our personality. In recent times, several studies have been undertaken to corroborate this personality idea.

The dominant firstborn; the unsatisfied middle child yearning for attention; and the spoiled baby who gets away with it all—each of these characteristics are a result of their birth order. Even though these behavioural patterns were formed in childhood, they are always with us, whether they are desirable or undesirable, strong or fragile.

Firstborns

Firstborns are much more inclined to walk and speak earlier and do better in school. They are typically more assertive and controlling than their peers, which makes them instinctual leaders with high regard for authority.

Firstborns excel in occupations that need accuracy, like architecture and accounting. They are flourishing, productive, and resourceful in their income generation. Health and fitness are important to firstborns, just as they are in other areas of life.

Middle-Borns

Trapped between demanding, ambitious older siblings and rebellious younger siblings, middle-borns often serve the role of family peacemaker or mediator. Their stable, tactful, and generous personality makes them easily approachable.

They are excellent managers because they realize how to pay attention and work for the mutual benefit of all parties. They are perfect for advertising, sales, and other related activities. They have shown their ability to work well with others, making them an exceptional team player.

Last-Borns

Last-borns are frequently more daring and adventurous than first-borns, as well as being significantly more advanced. To stand out, most of the last-borns turn to creativity, independence, and even rebellion.

They’re usually brilliant artists, business owners, and inventors. They have a habit of being simply too reckless with their money. The young are quick-satisfaction seekers, with a high desire for the powerful gustatory experience that, unfortunately, contributes to unhealthy eating.

Only Children

Only children should be considered firstborns, plus a sprinkle of extra perfectionism added in for goodness’ sake. On a deeper level, onlies are complicated to get to know because they have a tough outward shell, though, on the inside, they are tremendously caring and supportive, aided by their compassion.

They will thrive in careers that require them to utilize the whole of their cognitive and emotional abilities. With their flawless and subtly elegant look, they attract attention and admiring glances from all sides.
