Advert for Indusage

“Congratulations to all involved in tonight’s ceremony. The Awards recognise the vital work
advancing the friendship between our two nations.
In a global pandemic, there is nothing to celebrate –– the loss is so great. But, there are
achievements to acknowledge. In Australia. businesses and community groups have worked
like never before — to keep staff in jobs, stay open, and provide services and support.
I welcome our strengthening partnership with India. The Comprehensive Strategic Partnership
is a big step realising more of the enormous potential of our friendship. It will result in even
more co-operation across trade, investment, defence and science, cyber and critical
technology.
It confirms our enduring friendship ––Maitri –– mateship.Working side by side, trusting each
other, sharing a sense of mission and purpose.
It promises a brighter future, once the pandemic subsides and we can all meet again.
The finalists and winners of these awards are magnificent representatives of Australia’s Indian
community.
Congratulations and enjoy this celebration honouring your rich contributions to business,
community and culture.”
The Hon Scott Morrison MP, Prime Minister of Australia
Commendations
On behalf of the Australian Labor Party, it gives me great pleasure to send my best wishes
ahead of the 2021 Indian Australian Business & Community awards.
Since 2013, these awards have recognised more than 1400 business and community leaders
and played an important role in fostering Australia’s bilateral relationship with India.
The Indian Australian Business & Community Awards also celebrate the successes of business
and community leaders at home. It has long been the dream of successive generations of
migrants to start a small or family business. So it is important that we gather to celebrate the
entrepreneurship, innovation, and contribution of the Indian Australian community.
Although this year’s awards will be a more subdued affair after a year of so much grief and
heartache, I trust that your awards can provide a moment of hope for the Australian Indian
community – and a reminder that brighter times are ahead.
The Hon. Anthony Albanese MP, Leader of the Australian Labor Party
