Chhattisgarh gets new chief secretary

Vivek Dhand, a 1981-batch Indian Administrative Service officer, was Wednesday appointed the new chief secretary of Chhattisgarh. He will succeed Sunil Kumar, who is retiring Friday. Dhand, who originally belongs to Chhattisgarh, is known to be an efficient administrator. Chief Minister Raman Singh Wednesday formally cleared his appointment as the next chief secretary.
