The doctor Subir Mondal, a member of the team of medical experts attending on the actress at the Belle Vue Clinic here, explained that her oxygen saturation level is fluctuating and she is dependent on oxygen via non-invasive ventilation. He explained, “Unless she is independent of the oxygen support, we must say she is critical. She is not out of danger”. West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee too visited the hospital for the second consecutive day on Friday to see the actress.
Suchitra Sen was admitted due to chest infection and was undergoing treatment for it at a nursing home since Dec 23. Her condition worsened on Dec 28 night and she was put on the ventilator on Jan 3.
