Up to 50,000 seniors are expected to attend the five concerts being hosted this week to enjoy 70’s tunes including those of Leo Sayer, the headline act.
“The Premier’s Gala Concerts are staged by the NSW Government to thank NSW’s 1.3 million seniors for their ongoing contributions to the community,” Mr Ajaka said.
“I am excited to be opening the first concert for the year, showing appreciation for all of the seniors across the state.
“Tickets are free and this year’s concerts will be hosted by Australian musical legend Rhonda Burchmore and a stellar local cast.
“Supporting artists include actor, musician and international musical theatre performer Ben Mingay, Young Talent Time finalist Anja Nissen and Sydney Cabaret Showcase winner Tom Sharah.”
The concerts will be held at the Qantas Credit Union Arena previously known as the Sydney Entertainment Centre.
To obtain tickets book online on the Ticketek website, in person at the Qantas Credit Union Arena and local Westfield Concierge desks, or by phoning 1300 130 613.
The concerts are just one of the highlights of NSW Seniors Week, which includes thousands of events across NSW.
