Sydney Symphony Orchestra Managing Director Rory Jeffes describes the annual free concert in Parramatta Park as a highlight in the SSO’s calendar.

“At the Sydney Symphony Orchestra we firmly believe that everyone around NSW should have the opportunity to see a full-size orchestra perform. For this reason around half the concerts that the SSO perform each year are at venues away from our home in the Sydney Opera House, including our annual performance in Parramatta Park.

“Our thanks go to Parramatta Park Trust and the NSW Government for their continued support of this wonderful event.”

Parramatta Park is hosting the free event – now in its 10th year – within its newly upgraded multi-million dollar events space, The Crescent.

Executive Director of Parramatta Park Trust, Suellen Fitzgerald said: “Parramatta Park is the historic heart of a growing urban city and the perfect venue for world-class cultural events such as this.

“For the second year running, we will also be providing Western Sydney school children with the opportunity to perform with world-leading musicians in front of thousands of people… an experience they and the audience are unlikely to forget.”
