NSW Labor has expressed its deepest condolences to the worldwide BAPS community for the loss of their spiritual leader, Pramukh Swami Maharaj.

Pramukh Swami Maharaj,  head of Bochasanvasi Akshar Purushottam Sansthan (BAPS) of the Swaminarayan Pramukh Swaminarayan sect, passed away on Saturday at his ashram located in Gujarat, India.

Labor Leader Luke Foley visited the BAPS Swaminarayan Akshardham in Dehli on the first day of his first international trip as Labor Leader with Daniel Mookhey MLC in June 2015.

Worldwide, the BAPS Movement maintains 3850 temples, on five continents, with 55 000 volunteers. The BAPS Movement has 1 million followers.

In Sydney, their Temple is in Rosehill.
