“Live your dreams,” Kamini Saberwal, Winner Mrs India Australia 2016

Kamini Saberwal, a Melbourne based part time model and painter, full time HR professional and a doting mother to a toddler was conferred with Mrs India Australia 2016 award by Karisma Kapoor, the Chief Guest at the glorious beauty pageant night which was held in Sydney.

Ask her what made her participate in Mrs India Australia 2016, Kamini says, “I decided to participate in this prestigious pageant as I  thought this would give me the perfect platform to reach out to many other women and support various Australian charities.”

The beautiful woman further said, “I was delighted to win this competition. 30 contestants from across Australia had to impress the judges with their personality, catwalk and answers to some very difficult questions. The pageant was judged on various aspects. Right from start I was asked to work on charitable platform close to my heart. On the coronation night we sashayed and swayed in traditional wear, introduction round, swim wear, high end fashion round, evening wear and the gruelling questions and answers round. And the hard work came to fruition.”

Talking about the most challenging part of being in a beauty pageant, Kamini said, “Standing out from the other contestants before an esteemed panel of judges was the biggest challenge”.

Sharing some moments that she cherished the most, the vivacious woman who loves being on the stage said, “The most cherished moment for me was being crowned by my favorite Bollywood star Karisma Kapoor, as she complimented me on my answers and also on my personality.”

During the pageant Kamini advocated two key messages. The first was about Children and the issues they deal with as they’re the most vulnerable. She related to this cause as she is a mother and she feels that this section needs help.  Her second message was the quote by Walt Disney that she used for her introduction- “All dreams come true if you have courage”

“As a role model I would persuade all young married women to live their dreams. Tyra Banks once said,” Women need to be the CEO of their own lives”.
