Sherlyn Chopra starrer ‘Kamasutra 3D’ has been nominated at 86th Academy Awards under three categories including Best Motion Picture, Original Score and Original Song with 5 songs. ‘Kamasutra 3D’ is the only movie from India contending in the music category lists.

The results were announced on Monday by the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences on its official website.

The director of the film Rupesh Paul expressed his excitement and said, “I am excited to hear the news. Anyway, it is a stunning reply to those people who tried to portray my film as a soft porn”.

The Oscar award will be announced on January 16th, 2014 in the Academy’s Samuel Goldwyn Theater.

‘Kamasutra 3D’ is scheduled to release on May 23rd, 2014.
