Hindu Council of Australia presents Deepavali 2017

Hindu Council of Australia started the public celebrations of Deepavali  – the Festival of Lights- in 1999 in a huge way in Sydney. With community support this festival has now grown as one of the largest  community events in Sydney.

Hindu Council of Australia will be celebrating Deepavali 2017 at multiple venues across Sydney, Adelaide and Canberra. The celebrations will start on Thursday 12th October at Martin place and will finish on Monday 16th  October at the Great Hall at Federal Parliament in Canberra.

The Parramatta Park celebrations will be on both the days of the weekend, October 14 and 15 .

HCA’s Deepavali 2016 provided opportunity to more than 600 performers to perform at a large stage in front of more than 25000 people . We are hoping that Deepavali 2017 celebrations will be even bigger and better.

There will be professional themed performances on both days . Huge LED screens with professional Audio visual are the hallmark of this festival.

Festival is going to have a number of themed areas to engage community including kids, youth and seniors.

Families can enjoy two days of amazing rides, kids area , face painting and much more.

Spectacular Raavan with special pyrotechnic effect will again be a special feature followed by fire works .
