Planning Minister Rob Stokes today called on Sydneysiders to start a discussion on Sydney’s future.

People are encouraged to post photos on social media under the hashtag #MySydney, showing what they love most about Sydney and the great aspects of living in their neighbourhood.

“We want to make this the biggest social media conversation ever undertaken by the city, focused on what makes Sydney great,” Mr Stokes said.

“What would you like to see in your local communities over the coming years and decades when it comes to transport, housing, services and jobs?

“The public’s contribution to this initiative will be vital to the work of the Greater Sydney Commission in maintaining Sydney’s status as the nation’s only global city.”

The NSW Government committed $19 million in last week’s Budget for the GSC and to implement A Plan for Growing Sydney.

The commission will work closely with local councils and communities to help Sydneysiders get the most out of their neighbourhoods.
