Bold and Beautiful Shyla Angela Prasad crowned Miss Earth Fiji 2015

Indian origin Miss Shyla Angela Prasad was conferred with the title Miss Earth Fiji 2015. The event being one of the three largest beauty pageants in the world is an International Environmental Event channeling the beauty pageant entertainment industry as an effective tool to promote environmental awareness.  Shyla competed against 80 to 90 candidates from all over the world on beauty and knowledge of environmental issues.

The beautiful Shyla successfully competed in the Miss Earth International Pageant in Vienna, Austria. At this pageant, she was awarded with Most Cheerful Award and she also grabbed three gold medals.

In 2015, she also competed in the National Finals of Miss World Australia 2015 and Miss Galaxy Australia 2015. In the latter she won the title of Miss Galaxy Charity Australia.

Shyla is currently studying 3rd year Bachelors of Laws/ Bachelors of International Studies at University of Technology Sydney. She aims to continue her studies and become a barrister, in particular focusing humanitarian and women’s legal issues and rights. Apart from being a model, she’s a graceful dancer, actor and a confident host and presenter. There’s also a noble side of Shyla, she’s founded LARN (Love Animals Respect Nature), a Charity Organisation.

She’s been engaged and volunteered in many charity and righteous causes such as, Red Cross International – helping out refugee house in Vienna, Austria, Hands and Feet Charity – Feeding the homeless in Sydney City on Friday Nights, Westmead Children’s Hospital Bandaged Bear Appeal. She has also actively participated in various community services like Diwali Celebration 2014 and 2015 where she shared the Stage with UnIndian Director Anupam Sharma. She also was actively involved in Fiji Independence Day 2015 where the Prime Minister of Fiji was the Guest of Honour.

Shyla’s beauty and noble side has been lauded in international papers and interviews.
