ARIJIT SINGH ROCKED SYDNEY TOWN HALL!

2Arijit Singh needs no introduction as he is currently the No 1 Bollywood Male Playback Singer with his songs in nearly every new release Hindi Film. Arijit Singh captivated the houseful audience with an unforgettable concert on Sunday, October 26 at Sydney Town Hall.

The excitement of fans was felt in Town Hall as most entered the hall singing and energised to witness the Superstar,Arijit Singh, who is known to captivate his audience with his charm, versatility and unique improvisation to suit his style. The concert, even though delayed, was wellworth the wait.

Education Centre of Australia (ECA) brought to Australia one of the most successful Indian and world class act Arijit Singh and his talented band.
ECA is one of the largest private education providers in Australia and offers a huge range of courses for international students in both Sydney and Melbourne, from English language through to post graduate master’s degrees.

Rupesh Singh, the CEO of ECA, has seen ECA grow in leaps and bounds and over the years he has been involved in many large-scale cultural projects, involving the community.

Rupesh Singh and Aadesh Shrivastava (a very successful music composer of both Hindi and world films) have decided to join forces and create Raga studios and this will be the driving force to bring many more successful artists to Australia.

The performance on the night was kicked-off by Bollywood Singer and Powerpack PerformerRockstar Sunny V, who having performed in over 600 concerts in India and abroad, enthralled the audience with hit numbers and got them foot tapping before the arrival of the ‘Superstar’.

The audience also got introduced to famous Bollywood music director, Aadesh Shrivastava, and his wife, actress and playback singer Vijeta Pandit, most famous for her debut 1981 film ‘Love Story’, who were part of the audience.

Amidst being introduced,upon hearing the roaring audience, Arjit Singh entered the stage with his signature guitar piece of ‘Tum Hi Ho’! His fans went wild with the roar and screaming momentarily overshadowing the music and sound. This continued for a few minutes with growing roar as he continued singing ‘Tum Hi Ho’. The audience knew that Arijit has found his ideal audience as the ‘Youth Music Sensation’ carried on non-stop with his superhits, one after another!

The 22 member team of musicians and artists from Bollywood accompanying Arijit were such a great delightto watch performing awesome renditions. The female vocalist from India, Supriya Pathak, and the duo chorus girls mesmerised the audience with their performances while the musicians,complemented by fantastic lighting, great sound and massive stage production,got the audience going and made them dance to the thumping and romantic numbers.

It was awe-inspiring to witness such a superstar singing evergreen hits of Bollywood legends of the music industry. Arijit’s delivery of ‘Lag Ja Gale’, originally sung by the Queen of Melodies Lata ji, got the audience emotional and they joined Arijit in the emotional flight to appreciate being part of this special moment ‘Ke Phir Yeh Haseen Raat Ho Na Ho’ – a moment that will stick with his fans for life, such was his rendition performed to perfection!

Arijit took a short break and came back on stage to recommence his musical journey with his fans continued singing with him. Everyone witnessed Arijit’s joy as the crowd sang to the music and, many a time, Arijit moved back from the microphone, closed his eyes and enjoyed the audience singing his numbers. It was humbling to be part of the audience, singing to Arijit and seeing him close his eyes and listening to us, his fans – amazing artist!

Amit Chauhan of Dry Tickets, the company responsible for ticketing of the concert, said that this was one of the fastest and biggest selling Bollywood concert handled by the company. According to Mr Chauhan, this was the first Bollywood event by his company where tickets were sold-out before the show and no tickets were available to sell at Box Office on the day of the concert.

This concert was presented by Education Centre of Australia (ECA) and organised in Sydney and Melbourne by Ricky Singh and Raga Studio,Rupesh Singh of ECA is pleased to have presented this houseful concert, which was thoroughly enjoyed by the audience. Mr. Bhavesh was also one of the organisers.The media partners of the concert, Minu Sharma of Indusage and Navneet Anand of Fiji Times, also played significant role in promotion and advertising of the concert.
