Welcome New Indian Migrants to South Australia

6 6a 6bFICSA’s Team (Federation of Indian Communities in South Australia) had organised an event called ‘Welcome New Indian Migrants to South Australia’ “on 25th of September 2015.

It was a unique networking opportunity for new Indian Migrants to meet and network with other established members. It was also a great opportunity to meet old and new friends and welcome new migrants to our community.

 

The details of the event held were as follows:

 

When: Friday, 25th September 2015             Time: 7.30 PM- 9:30 PM

 

Where: Enfield Community Hall, 540 Regency Road, Enfield, SA 5085

 

It was Free entry with dinner for new migrants who arrived in Australia in the last 3 months

 

Mr.Tom Kerwood, from Randstad Consultancy was the Chief Guest. Tom spoke about the job opportunities in Adelaide and had elaborate guidance and discussion with more than 20 families who were recently migrated to Adelaide, South Australia under different visa categories.  He was overwhelmed by the questions and gave assurance that he would do his best to guide in getting job here in Adelaide to all the newly migrated people. Mr. Peng from STEMSEL also addressed the gathering and offered apprenticeship to the interested people with engineering background. Mr Subra Kuppa and Mrs. Mudra Shah were the people behind this vision of helping new migrants.

 

FICSA Team is proud to organise such events and their spokesperson Mrs. Nancy Choudhry said that they would organise such events once in two months to cater the necessity of the Indian Community. New migrants said that they found a new place to network here in Adelaide and Dinner was served by Tandoori Hut, Hindsley Street, Adelaide city.  FICSA Vice President Mr. Umesh Nagasandra made sure the event went smoothly without any hiccups.  FICSA Team announced that, their following program for October would be Blood Donation and on 14th November they will be organising “Children’s Day” for the first time in Adelaide and in fact in Australia.  For more activities email ficsa.adelaide@gmail.com or contact their mobile 0469 142 018 or www.ficsa.com.au
