TWO FREE CONCERTS TO CELEBRATE AUSTRALIA DAY IN SYDNEY

Two free concerts at the Sydney Opera House are set to make Australia Day in Sydney an unmissable experience, with plenty on offer for all ages and tastes.

The event was launched today in Sydney by the Deputy Premier and Minister for the Arts, Troy Grant, who encouraged locals and visitors to get online and book tickets today.

“Limited free tickets for both Australia Day Concerts are now available, and they are sure to be snapped up quickly. To secure your tickets for either The Wiggles Australia Day Concert orAustralia Day 2016 – Live at Sydney Opera House, please visit www.australiaday.com.au,” Mr Grant said.

“Sydney is one of the best places to be on Australia Day, and these concerts will undoubtedly be one of the highlights of the day. They will also be broadcast on Channel 10, showcasing our spectacular Harbour right around the country.”

Minister for Trade, Tourism and Major Events Stuart Ayres said the concerts, supported by the NSW Government through its tourism and major events agency, Destination NSW, were sure to be a highlight of this year’s Australia Day celebrations.

“Australia Day is one of the most important dates on the calendar, and these two free concerts will celebrate the occasion by showcasing some of our nation’s finest performers,” Mr Ayres said.

The Wiggles Australia Day Concert will begin the day, with the world famous children’s performers marking their 25th anniversary with their favourite friends – Dorothy the Dinosaur, Wags the Dog, Henry the Octopus and more.

Australia Day 2016 – Live at Sydney Opera House will take place in the evening, and feature Jessica Mauboy, Cyrus, Justice Crew and Roy and HG. Set against the spectacular backdrop of the Sydney Opera House, it promises to be an unforgettable experience.”
