Reena Augustine is the most remarkable young lady you may be fortunate enough to meet. And you surely will meet her in most of the Brisbane events, as a guest, MC or a participant!

Coming to Australia from India as a student, she is now an Australian Citizen and has a deep and lasting love for Brisbane. She has gone on to support community events for over six years volunteering her time, energy and goodwill along the way and continues to do so in her role as also the Lions Club Medical Research Personality Quest (LMPQ) 2016-2017. With a background of including and caring for everyone, the selection of Reena in ambassadorial role was an easy one for

the club to make. She supports people in so many ways by offering her services free of charge for the community as a photographer, event organiser, stage manager, model handler and many more.

Reena works as a migration lawyer in her business, Migration Net, She runs several businesses wearing several hats along the way with each one either bringing people together or providing a service or common cause to help others, while organising fashion shows and events, and doubles up as a charity worker and so much more.

She, in 2015,  produced Brisbane’s first multicultural fashion show, uniting over 500 people and many communities to produce a three-hour spectacular, and plans are already underway for 2016’s showcase.

Another project of Reena is ‘Moments With Reena’ which is a show interviewing prominent and motivational people of Brisbane to inspire viewers to achieve things in their own lives and, most importantly, offering encouragement to give back to the community as she does.

1Reena is also managing the programming for Radio 4EB Indian Programming Group’s (IPG) “Namaste World – A Multi-Cultural Carnival“, to be held on 6th August, 2016 from 11 am till 8 pm, at Rocklea Showgrounds, and is going to be the marquee event for the diverse communities in Queensland. Red Carpet Functions, the event management business of hers, has a “Cocktail Evening” booked in for August 12 at the chic & boutique style Melange Cafe in picturesque Roma Street Parklands. This is her first event of the year with a percentage of the night being graciously donated to the cause. Live on stage will be Brisbane Sound duo Lee Heron & Aras, with Lee later performing a solo set. Lee has sung at numerous functions and has a voice that many think is Elvis but will be singing other songs too in an evening of continuous entertainment. The event also boasts a fashion show with 4 designers and 24 of Brisbane’s most beautiful multicultural models walking on the night to showcase the many talents of Brisbane. Tickets for the event are just $25 + booking fee and can be located on the Red Carpet Functions Facebook page under their events tab. The online booking process is very straightforward and easy to complete. More details can be found at: https://www.facebook.com/RedCarpetFunctions/

Speaking exclusively to Indus Age, Reena had this to share; ‘It is always a beautiful thing to bring fashion and music together – the two go hand in hand, but to tie both in with the Lions Club and the fundraising campaign is something even more special. It will be a truly amazing evening.’

“We thank the readers of Indus Age, in advance, for your continuous support of this wonderful and amazing young lady”, Miss Reena Augustine. (https://www.facebook.com/reena.augustine)
