The Journey has begun at the Opera House for a young teenager

16Living in Sydney we all have seen the Opera House from outside and some of us from inside, but a few of us had the opportunity to perform at this iconic building. Ewan Jacob is a high school boy who just did that, perform at the Opera house.

He auditioned for the RydeSchools Spectacular 2014 which had students from 27 schools participating. He was chosen to sing the opening solo song “Baha Men-Best years of our lives” with the combined choir of 600 students and also play the piano and sing “Billy Joel-New York State of Mind” which was a shop stopper performance.

Playing the “Steinway & sons” grand piano and singing at the Opera house is something he still can’t believe he did in the presence of nearly 3000 people.

Ewan started singing when he was 5 years old and has never stopped since. He performs at the School, Church and other private events. He sings different genre but his personal preference is the ballads and jazz. He plans to continue his passion with voice training, piano and guitar lessons.
