- ‘Bairi Piya’ – Devdas
Shreya was sixteen when she recorded her first song for ‘Devdas’. She was selected as the innocence in her voice was apt for the main character ‘Paro’. She sang the complete song without a break and it was recorded in one go. The song fetched herthe‘National Film Award for Best Playback Singer’ and marked her entry into Bollywood singing.
- Jaado Hai Nasha Hai – Jism
Shreya did not stick toclassical singing and surprised everyone with her seductive singing with ‘Jaadohai Nasha Hai’. This helped in her not getting stereotyped and displayed her creativity. The innocence in her voice dignified the song and she was awarded the Best Female Playback Singer.
- Piyu Bole – Parineeta
‘Piyu Bole’ was the highlight of the love story Parineeta. Shreya brought out the sweetness of Vidya Balan’s character in this song and both the song and the film were a hit.

Move on Munni and Sheila, here comes Chikni Chameli! Shreya once again proved her versatility with this popular item song. The song was an instant hit as Shreya brought a rustic touch to the song while Katrina Kaif showed her best moves.
- Radha on the dance floor – Student of the Year
Every girl, be young or old wanted to be a sexy dancing Radha after Shreya sang this youthful song. This entertaining song became an instant hit on dance floors and sangeet, while Shreya earned critical applause.
- Saans – Jab Tak Hai Jaan
For this romantic song, Shreya collaborated with music maestro AR Rahman. With her melodious voice, she brought out the best of a song for a Yash Raj Film. The song won the title of the ‘most romantic song of 2012’.
- NagadaSang Dhol– Ramleela
Shreya has always created magic with director Sanjay LeelaB hansali. When Bhansali decided to compose the music himself for this film, Shreya was the best choice. She gave full justice to this high energy song and gave it’s distinct rustic flavour.
