Member for Parramatta Geoff Lee and the Minister for Ageing John Ajaka, together with the Lord Mayor of Parramatta Cr Paul Garrard, today announced that Parramatta will host one of the NSW Government’s popular Seniors Christmas Concerts
Mr Ajaka said that the NSW Government is pleased to continue the wonderful tradition of presenting a series of concerts in regional NSW and outer metropolitan Sydney to honour and thank seniors in our community aged 60 years or older.
“The Seniors Christmas Concerts are free, and are provided to recognise the valuable contribution of our seniors across the state,” Mr Ajaka said.
“The NSW Government is bringing Santa Claus to town, giving residents of Western Sydney the opportunity to enjoy this popular annual concert closer to home” Geoff Lee said.
“Local residents can look forward to a great day out and awesome entertainment right here in Parramatta on 8th December 2015,” Geoff added.
“Council is very happy that Parramatta will be part of this year’s Seniors Christmas Concert series and I’m sure that the event will be warmly embraced by our local community,” Lord Mayor of Parramatta Cr Paul Garrard said.
The government will also continue to produce a Christmas Concert DVD, to send out to seniors, nursing home residents and those less mobile who cannot attend the concerts to also enjoy the performances.
Tickets are available from the Riverside Theater box office, Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm or phone 8839 3399 or online at riversideparramatta.com.au/
