Deputy Premier and Minister for Justice and Police Troy Grant has congratulated and thanked the 109 new recruits who are graduating from the Police Academy today and will start their career on the beat from Monday.

“I wish Class 327 all the very best as they embark on an exciting new career dedicated to keeping our state safe,” Mr Grant said.

“Our new recruits will be deployed to local area commands on Monday and will bring enthusiasm and their skills learnt during their time at the Police Academy.

“I know firsthand policing can be a challenging career that brings you face to face with the best and worst of humanity, and I thank Class 327 for choosing a selfless profession and dedicating themselves to community safety.

“I congratulate our newest additions to the NSW Police Force for reaching this milestone and wish them all the best as they start their career.”

The new Probationary Constables sworn in today at the attestation parade will be deployed to 39 local area commands across NSW and will spend a year under the supervision of experienced officers and continue online learning before graduating with an Associate Diploma in Policing Practice.

The men and women taking attestations today will join more than 3,000 officers who have become sworn officers of the NSW Police Force since 2011.

The NSW Liberals & Nationals Government is committed to boosting the authorised strength of the NSW Police to 16,795 over this term of Government.
