Marlene Kairouz will join the Cabinet as Minister for Consumer Affairs, Gaming and Liquor Regulation.

Ms Kairouz was elected to Parliament as Member for Kororoit in 2008 and has served as Cabinet Secretary since the election of the Andrews Labor Government in November 2014. Prior to entering Parliament, Ms Kairouz worked as a scientist specialising in histology.

Ms Kairouz looks forward to delivering on the Labor Government’s agenda to create jobs, protect consumers and ensure the community can enjoy safe and responsible gambling and drinking environments.
The Premier has appointed Gayle Tierney to be the new Cabinet Secretary.
