Princess of Bollywood, Karisma Kapoor ‘the star judge’ arrived at the beautifully transformed Blacktown Bowman Hall in a royal flower net accompanied with drummers to the delight of 600 people who had jam packed the venue for the Grand Finale of Miss/Mrs/Mr India Australia –Touch the Soul 2016 beauty pageant on 25^th September, 2016.

Miss/Mrs/Mr India Australia is one of the highest billed and top rated beauty pageants in Indo- Australian community.

Under the banner of Maharaja’s Haveli Mr Satinder Benepal & Miss India Australia Corporation Ms. Reena Koak, co-organisers, had put on a stylish and sophisticated show which Sydney had never seen before. The night had everything; 30 hot and sizzling contestants from all around Australia, fashion, glitz and glamour, triumphs and disappointments, music entertainment and food.. that left everyone in good cheer.

Ms. Karisma Kapoor delighted the audience by coming on stage in a gorgeous Anamika Khanna  lehenga with the organisers before being seated at the judges table amongst; Miss Mary Mehajer –Miss Lebanon Australia 2016, Ms Rani Benepal – Chief editor Royal Affair, John Sidoti MP, Mr. Stephen Bali-Mayor of Blacktown and Kim Cancellier- Mrs Universe Australia.

The contest began with round 1 – Traditional wear and Introductions. Early nerves soon disappeared as the contestants smiled, sashayed, swayed and charmed with confidence in the following rounds, round 2 – Fitness and Swimwear, round 3 -Cocktail wear and round 4 – Evening wear. Competition was fierce in all 3 (Miss Mr MRS) categories keeping the judges on their toes. An interval was announced. The judges scores were consolidated, Corporate guests enjoyed silver service, VIP guests enjoyed a buffet dinner which included delicious , flavoursome food from Maharaja Haveli’s  and their dedicated team of Anil Kumar, Subhash Bhatt, Jagjit Gill, Neeraj Misra and George’s wait staff and also had the opportunity to pose with gorgeous Karisma  Kapoor during a Meet and Greet.

Chief Guest Karisma Kapoor was invited on stage to speak. She commended the organisers and said that events of this nature are “contributing greatly towards the success of the local area”. She was delighted to be part of the evening and spoke about how proud she was to be a mother of two and put across her thoughts for Celebrating womanhood.

Karisma Kapoor was awarded with  ‘TIMELESS BEAUTY AWARD’ for her achievement’s as “four-time Filmfare award winner, national award winner, ageless beauty, heart-throb of millions and Bollywood diva who has ruled Bollywood for 25 years’’

Ms. Koak National Director, Miss India Australia Corporation and Oceanic Director, United Nations Pageant LLC/Global United thanked all the people who made the event a grand success.

Upon commencement after the break, the 12 finalists were announced.  Four contestants from each of the three (Miss/ Mr/ Mrs) categories leading to the final Q & A round five. Each contestant drew a judge name and was asked to respond to a question. Scores were compiled and winners were announced.
