  • Top 15 keyboard shortcuts are shown below:
  1. Ctrl + A = Select all items in a document or window
  2. Ctrl + C = Copy a selected item
  3. Ctrl + V = Paste the selected item
  4. Ctrl + X = Cut the selected item
  5. Ctrl + Z = Undo an action
  6. Ctrl + P = Print
  7. Alt + F4 = Close the active item, or exit the active program
  8. Alt + Tab = Switch between open programs
  9. Shift + Delete = Delete selected item without moving it to the recycle bin first/permanent delete
  10. Windows logo key + D = Clear away everything and show desktop
  11. Windows logo key + E = Open Windows Explorer
  12. Windows logo key + Tab = Cycle through task bar buttons
  13. FN + PRTSC = Captures entire desktop/laptop screen
  14. Ctrl + Y = Redo an action
  15. Ctrl + L = Highlight the text in the Address bar

  1. Ctrl + Esc = Open the Start Menu
  2. Ctrl + D = Add a webpage to your favourites
  3. Ctrl + J = Open Download Manager
  4. Ctrl + Right arrow = Move the cursor to the beginning of the next word
  5. Ctrl + Left arrow = Move the cursor to the beginning of the previous word
  6. Ctrl + Down arrow = Move the cursor to the beginning of the next paragraph
  7. Ctrl + Up arrow = Move the cursor to the beginning of the previous paragraph
  8. Ctrl + Shift + any arrow key = Select a block of text
  9. Ctrl + any arrow key + space bar = Select multiple individual items in a window or on the desktop
  10. Ctrl + Mouse scroll wheel = Change the size of icons on the desktop
  11. Ctrl + Alt + Tab = Use the arrow keys to switch between open items
  12. Ctrl + Shift + Escape = Open task manager
  13. Alt = Show the menu bar. After you make a selection, the menu bar goes away.
  14. Alt + Spacebar = Open the shortcut menu for the active window
  15. Shift + any arrow key = Select more than one item in a window or on the desktop or select text within a document
  16. Shift + F10 = Opens a shortcut menu for the selected items (like right clicking on a mouse)
  17. Windows logo key = Opens start menu
  18. Windows logo key + F = Find files or folders
  19. Windows logo key + M = Minimize all windows
  20. Windows logo key + Down Arrow = Minimize the window
  21. Windows logo key + Up Arrow = Maximize the window
  22. Windows logo key + L = Lock the computer (without using ctrl + alt + delete)
  23. Shift + Windows logo key + M = Undo minimize all
  24. Windows logo key + F1 = Open Help
  • Some other major Windows Function keys:
  1. F1 = Open the help page or window
  2. F2 = Rename an object
  3. F5 = Refresh the page
  4. F6 = Go/Show the address bar
  5. F10 = Activate the menu bar in the active program
