New Delhi, March 5 (IANS) Hours after the BBC telecast “India’s Daughter”, a documentary featuring one of the December 16, 2012 gang rape convicts, in Britain, the hash tag #IndiasDaughter became the top global trend on social networking site Twitter on Thursday.

Two other hash tags – #NirbhayaInsulted and #DontRapeAgain were also trending on second and fourth positions respectively.

Earlier, the documentary was uploaded on the video hosting site YouTube, which saw a flurry of shares on the social media, including Facebook and Twitter.

The BBC website said: “BBC iPlayer TV programmes are available to play in Britain only.”

The documentary “India’s daughter” by British filmmaker Leslee Udwin has kicked up a storm over the interview of one of the six men who raped the 23-year-old trainee physiotherapist on December 16, 2012 on board a moving bus in Delhi.
