GEOFF LEE RETURNED TO PARRAMATTA

Capture1 2Member for Parramatta Geoff Lee thanks the community for their support on Saturday.

“It’s been a truly humbling experience to be re-elected for a second term,” said Geoff.

The election outcome is a resounding vote of confidence in the Baird Liberal Government’s

positive plan for NSW, Western Sydney and Parramatta in particular.

“Parramatta will now benefit massively from almost to $2.9 billion of commitments and I am

getting straight back to work, delivering for the people of Parramatta,” Mr Lee commented.

“Voters have sent a clear message that they back the Baird Liberal Government Plan for

Parramatta. A Plan that delivers:

Parramatta Light Rail – a game changer for Parramatta and surrounding suburbs,

Creation of a vibrant community in Parramatta North with heritage at its heart,

Relocation of the Powerhouse Museum and creation of an Arts and Cultural Precinct

in Parramatta,

NSW’s first state of the art vertical public high school, in Parramatta CBD,

WestConnex, which when complete will remove 52 traffic lights and save 40 minutes

on a trip between Parramatta and Port Botany, and

Massive upgrade of Westmead Hospital precinct with up to 14 new operating

theatres and a 2,200 space car park.

“It is now full steam ahead for Parramatta and I am focused on the delivery” said Geoff.

“Local families and the community want to see progress on this once-in-a-generation

investment in vital infrastructure, hospitals and schools”.

“This election outcome gives us a clear mandate to deliver on our commitments

to make sure we get on with the job” Geoff said.
