Farhan Akhtar starrer ‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag’ has had a lasting impression, of the actors on the audiences across. So much so, that there are reports, that Farhan’s recently released flick ‘Shaadi Ke Side Effects’ has done highest ever business in East Punjab.

Punjab is said to be one of the most difficult territories to appease. We have only seen the Deol’s working there. Before this, it would just be their films being highly and positively received there.

But, it’s for the first time, that a non Punjabi, Farhan Akhtar’s film has got such a huge response in Punjab. So, it was not just ‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag’ that did extremely well there, but ‘Shaadi Ke Side Effects’ is also being tremendously cherished there.

When contacted, Farhan said, “I’m overwhelmed with the kind of response that the film has been getting.” Adding more, his spokesperson says, “Farhan is elated that he has been able to break into the Punjab market with aid from his previous role of Milkha Singh. The movie was close to his heart and he’s happy that his current movie, too, is doing very well.”
