After a lot of speculations that who will be the lead actor and actress in the film ‘Shuddhi’, here’s a confirmation that Deepika Padukone has been finalized for the film.

The actress is currently shooting for ‘Happy New Year’ and after wraping up the film, she will move on to Imtiaz Ali’s next with Ranbir. After finishing the flick with Ranbir, she will start the shooting of Shoojit Sircar’s ‘Piku’ and after wrapping up ‘Piku’ she will move to Karan Malhotra’s ‘Shuddhi’, which is expected to go on floors by the end of 2014.

Well, Deepika is confirmed for the film, but the lead actor of the film is not yet finalized. Reportedly, actors like Ranveer Singh, Shah Rukh Khan, Ajay Devgn and Hrithik Roshan are in the race to be the male lead of the film.
