Dee Sinnarkar, an Artist of Indian heritage based in Sydney, Australia is a passionate Singer-Songwriter. She has been performing for over 12 years. She recently finished self-producing her track- ‘I Wanna Dance’ which is inspired from her back injury that led to depression. She wrote the song in hope of getting up & enjoying little things of life again pain free.

“The track is a happy, tropical electronic dance song to which you can dance your worries away,” she said.

At a young age, passion for poetry& music drove her into Singing. She wrote for Hallmark cards & her poetry won a gold medal at International poetry contest in USA. After migrating to NZ, she experienced personal & financial hardships that disconnected her from song writing.  However, she grasped singing opportunities & performed at various events while juggling her studies.

While she was working to fund her music in Australia, life took a steep turn with a terrible back injury that left her incapable of walking. Constantly in agony, she was forced to stop full time work & spiralled down into depression. Amidst unemployment, pain & medicines, ignited her hope of walking again & going for a night out with friends without any pain. She turned to music writing her new song- I Wanna Dance. She encouraged herself to put music on YouTube which quickly gained great amount of attention with over 250,000 views, also being telecasted on TV channels in India. Tourism Australia were impressed as her work attracted Asian audience travel to Australia. She has collected a great fan following.

Besides working on her track, Dee took screen passion to another level by securing acting roles for TV commercials incl. international brands – Visa cards, Vodafone, Holden, Kmart, Woolworths & more.

She wants to share her journey to inspire & influence others to never give up & gather courage to find hope in dullest moments of life through ‘I Wanna Dance’ track. “I envisage to continue voicing emotions via music & spreading love, hope &happiness,” she said.
