Lean In Inc. is a registered Australian non-profit organization dedicated to supporting migrant women settle into their newly adopted country. In February and March this year, with the support of a grant from Burwood Clubs NSW, Lean In Inc successfully delivered a series of settlement pathway workshops providing newly arrived migrant women with guidance in:
- Gaining employability skills: Job Search, interview skills, resume writing
- Learning how to start your own business
- Building connections and networking
- Getting tips on how to quickly settle into Australia
- Understanding Diversity and Australian Culture; and
- Being inspired by migrant women success stories
Lean In Incteam – Mrs. Sue Advani Public Officer, Dr Sunaina Gowan President, Mrs. Urvashi Arora Vice President & Treasurer and Dr Kiran Jassal Secretary – cordially invite women to participate in the forthcoming Networking and Empowerment Event to be held on 14th July 2018 between 11am and 2pm at Blacktown RSL Club, Second Avenue, Blacktown NSW 2148. Participants will learn how to:
- Build Connections
- Develop Presentation Skills
- Learn how to Dress for Success
- Get help with Domestic Violence and
- Be Inspired by Success Stories
Tickets for the event are a nominal $10pp (light lunch included).
Lean In Inc is happy to announce that it has received a grant from Multicultural NSW to hold further settlement pathway workshops later this year. More information about these workshops and how to apply will be provided at the Networking and Empowerment Event.
