BUSINESS PARTNERSHIPS PLATFORM: OPEN FOR APPLICATIONS

Applications are now open for the Australian Government’s Business Partnerships Platform for international development, inviting businesses to develop new initiatives to reduce poverty in developing countries. Hon Julie Bishop

The Business Partnerships Platform will help implement the Ministerial Statement on Engaging the Private Sector in Aid and Development, which aims to collaborate with the private sector to boost the impact of our aid program.

The Australian Government has invested $7 million to target economic and social outcomes for developing countries in our region. Up to $2 million has been allocated for partnerships that specifically support the economic empowerment of women through business.

We will also co-invest between $100,000 and $500,000 for organisations seeking to explore, pilot or expand commercial opportunities that will have a development impact.

Funds provided by the Australian Government must be matched at least 1:1 with investment by businesses.

Applications for the platform will be accepted until Friday 18 December.
