Bollywood Events Adelaide Team, Community Leaders and Politicians stand in support of Nepal Earthquake victims

acA fundraising dinner was organised in support of Nepal Earthquake victims on 20th June, 2015 in Adelaide by Umesh Nagasandra and his Bollywood Events Adelaide Team. The event was attended by community leaders and politicians.

Tony Zappia (Federal Labor MP for Makin), Dana Wortley (State Labor MP for Torrens) and Russel Wortley (President of the South Australia Legislative Council- Labor) stood hand in hand with the community to raise funds to send to the millions of displaced people in Nepal – most of whom not only lost their kith and kin but also are devoid of basic amenities like food, shelter and clothing.

Tandoori Hut, where the fundraiser was hosted, was smeared with a hearth of warmth and goodwill. Tony Zappia voiced for support for the affected communities. Mrs. Dana Wortley requested the communities to come together in support of the victims and also thanked the organisers Umesh Nagasandra and Nancy Chowdary for their noble cause. Russel Wortley passionately extended his and Labour party’s support to the victims. Mr Wortley said, “It is very important that we have policies that can support when someone needs us”. He further elaborated that compassion should not have boundaries.

Nancy Chowdary thanked the Labour MPs for continuing to work hard and bringing policies aimed at fair, equal and just societies. She also thanked Labor MPs for treating world citizens as Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam which means “World is one family”.

The event drew business identities and dignitaries from Henry Kruszewski, Umesh Nagasandra, ArunaPokhrel, Steven Mario Cavallo, Sree Nathan and Saru Rana; all of whom founded Adelaide to be a passionate place where communities rally for their brothers and sisters from across the world, whenever they are in need.
“The Nepalese community has been resilient and strong in this sad moment”, Nancy Chowdary, a highly impressed stateswoman, said, at the fundraiser organised by Bollywood Events Adelaide.

Mrudula Chinta who resides in India experienced the earthquake from the northern parts of India. She has taken part in the event and supported the cause. She was very touched to see Adelaide community getting together in support of Nepalese brothers and sisters from another corner of the world.
Pooja Choudary, a student from Trinity College (Blakeview), helped sell tickets in the community, and contributed her entire hard earned savings of fifty dollars in support of this virtuous act.

Guests were treated to a Bollywood Indian dance given by Francesca and her team of Fusion Beats Bollywood Dance School.

The event was successful with all the funds donated to the “International United Peace and Human Rescue Organisation” in Nepal, an incredible group whose volunteers have undertaken the heartbreaking work of retrieving bodies of children and adults from the earthquake zone.

The money raised was intended to make some meaningful difference in the lives of the victims and the sufferers through this humanitarian move.
