Top actors charge a lot of money to star in a film. But, none of the A-listers charged any remuneration for lending their voices to the characters in the animation film, ‘Mahabharat’.

Superstars like Amitabh Bachchan (Bheeshma), Shatrughan Sinha (Krishna), Ajay Devgn (Arjun), Anil Kapoor (Karna), Vidya Balan (Draupadi), Manoj Bajpayee (Yudishthir), Jackie Shroff (Duryodhan) and Anupam Kher (Shakuni) have all dubbed for the movie free of cost.

All the actors were chosen with the thought that no one else could suit the character.

The producer of the film Jayantilal Gada said, “Take the character of Bheeshma for example, one can’t think of anyone except Amitji. It’s not like regular commercial fare for which you have other options if things don’t work out with one actor.”
